Delivered Box Shares We deliver Boxed Shares weekly to a variety of sites in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Members or business owners who have offered us the use of their garage, porch, etc. as a place to drop off pre-boxed shares of produce host these sites. The Boxed Share is, on average, a bushel box full of assorted produce and perfectly sized for a family with average vegetable eating habits. We serve the following neighborhoods in our Delivered Boxed Share program: New Jersey: Newtown | Yardley On the Also included in your Delivered Boxed Share fee are weekly Pick-Your-Own privileges to the pick-your-own crops at the Pennington farm. Our Veggie Hotline and the This Week's Distribution and PYO lists page of our website lets you know what's available from week to week, and is updated three days a week. We will occasionally harvest some of the pick-your-own crops for you, such as strawberries, hot peppers and green beans, and include them in your box. Many of our members tell us that the CSA membership is still a good value even if they don’t partake in PYO harvesting at the farm. Get your member badge! In order to exercise your PYO privileges, you must check in with the farm stand attendant during your first visit to the farm to obtain your Membership Badge. Thereafter, you must wear this badge whenever you visit the farm. For Boxed Share members' convenience, a recipe blog and a weekly newsletter is published on our website and a few copies are provided at the host site on the sign in clipboards. The newsletter lists the produce selection for the week, allowing members to plan their weekly meals. Delivered Boxed Share members also enjoy reading our monthly online newsletter, The Local Harvest, in addition to participating in our Events. Confirmation Postcards and Members’ HandbooksBoxed Share members will receive a Delivered Boxed Share Handbook as part of their confirmation, and the address label will reflect your pick-up day and location. Directions to your pick-up site will be enclosed. It is really important for members to read their Handbook. The Handbook is a member’s "owners manual" and answers commonly asked questions about the farm, i.e., how to store produce, what to do when you get to your pick-up site and where you can find convenient and tasty recipes, etc. Please keep in mind that if you have additional questions, you can always call the Veggie Hotline during office hours (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am-5pm). First Pick-Up & Membership BadgesThe start date of the distribution season varies from year to year depending on the weather. For the exact date of the first pick-up and the start of pick-your-own strawberries, please visit our website or call the Veggie Hotline starting May 10th. The first pick-up is sometime after May 10th. Each time a member comes to the farm they must wear their personal Membership Badge. The badges will be available for pick-up in the farm stand during your first pick-up. For our complete policy regarding Membership Badges including replacement fees, please visit our Policies page.
